Donna Flower Vintage is a vintage store. As such the items you are buying are in used and vintage condition, not new. We endeavour to describe the condition fully so that you are aware of any issues the garment or fabric may have.

 

ORDERING FABRICS

For those of you confused about the amounts available, and how to order, here is an example. If the fabric is sold in half metre increments and there are 5 available then there is a total of 2.5 metres to purchase. If you wanted 1 metre you would put 2 in the amount box when ordering. Other fabrics will be sold in the measurements listed.

 

CLOTHING & MEASUREMENTS

As vintage clothing is sized differently to todays sizing, we measure certain aspects of the garments and then give an estimation based on a universal chart.

We measure the bust (armpit to armpit), waist and usually the length of the garment. For men’s clothing we measure the chest, neck, arm length and inside leg.

To ensure the clothing will fit you we measure in inches and centimetres. The bust measurement, which we call armpit to armpit, is the widest part of your chest, the waist is just above your tummy button. If you have any further sizing questions about any garment please contact us.

 

PAYMENT

Payment can be made safely online with PayPal using any major credit and debit cards. When you have completed your purchase you will be directed to a secure page. All payment is to be made in £ sterling.

International transactions will be converted to £ sterling automatically by PayPal making it easy for you to use.

Please check the currency conversion for your country by using a site such as XE.com

Orders will not be posted until payment has cleared.

You do not need to have a PayPal account. Alternatively, if you are in the UK, you can phone your order through and pay by cheque. Please note we are unable to take payments over the phone at the moment. Your order will be posted once the cheque has cleared.

 

DELIVERY

Items will be sent using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery within the UK. For larger items we may use a courier.

Postage charges are calculated on the basis of weight and will also include a small amount for packaging, The amount will be added at the end of your order so you can see the postal charge before you commit to buy.

We ship worldwide.

For deliveries outside of the UK we will send by normal Airmail. Signed For services can be arranged at an extra cost, so please contact us if you would like this.

Your purchases will be beautifully wrapped and sent to you within 7 working days. Most items are dispatched as soon as they have been paid for.

 

REFUNDS

Important note: ALL clothing and some bridal accessories are NON REFUNDABLE and NON EXCHANGEABLE due to their age and delicate nature.

No refunds can be given for wrong sizing or change of mind, this applies to clothing and fabric.

Please contact us if you have any questions or require further images of any items which are non-refundable BEFORE you make a purchase.

Items are only entitled to a full refund if the item was not correctly listed, or not as described. Alternatively a credit note can be issued.

It is worth noting that colours can vary from monitor to monitor. Whilst we try to describe the colours as accurately as we can it may be worth contacting us first to check colours if in doubt.

Please note that the fabrics and clothing are vintage and as such may not always be perfect. We always do our best to describe any faults or blemishes but there will be the rare occasion when something is missed. We are only human after all.

SALE purchases are not Not entitled to a refund or exchange so please contact us if you have any questions before making a purchases.

Please note that we cannot refund postage and packaging charges, or any tax and duties payable outside of the EU.

Should you need to return an item you must first contact DONNA FLOWER VINTAGE using the contact form. We will then be in touch with details of how to return the item.

We recommend you use a recorded and trackable service for your own protection as we cannot accept responsibility for any items damaged or lost in transit.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.

WASHING INSTRUCTIONS

We sell all clothing ‘as seen’. Many items have been washed or dry cleaned prior to the sale, but we do leave the future washing care up to the purchaser.

Vintage garments cannot be washed the same way as modern clothes. We recommend that you dry clean or cool hand wash all vintage clothing.

If you’re in doubt, please ask and we will advise the correct way to launder your items.

Donna Flower will not use your personal information for any purpose other than for shipping, your personal information will not be disclosed to any third party. You may receive a newsletter from us, which you can unsubscribe from at any time.

 

BUYING STOCK

We are asked on a daily basis if we buy directly from the public. All items in the shop are sourced by ourselves, however we will buy from the public on some occasions. We are very specific about what we stock and everything is hand picked and selected by us.
The following criteria applies for anything you would like us to consider:

All clothing and accessories must be Pre-1970’s
Any fabric must be Pre-1980’s. We only buy printed fabric.
All items must be in a wearable condition. We are willing have repairs and cleaning done on certain items but this will of course reflect on the price we are willing to pay.
We do NOT accept fur coats.

We cannot guarantee that we will buy items once we have seen them but please don’t be offended. We buy and sell seasonally and are looking for particular things at certain times. We know what sells well and sometimes even the most stunning item simply doesn’t have a market at the time.
We regret that we cannot accept anything brought into us with no prior appointment.
