Describing conditions is often subjective. We endeavour to describe any imperfections or blemishes that a garment has before you purchase. However, please bear in mind the age and fabrics of each item when we use the condition chart.

Below is a general condition chart guideline. Please be aware that everything has been pre-owned and often previously worn. Rarely items will be in perfect condition. A certain amount of wear should always be expected. We personally feel that some wear and tear just adds to the integrity of an item and shows that it has been ‘much loved’. All sales are final so please thoroughly read the condition reports and do ask if you have any further questions.

MINT – No signs of wear, either labels attached or in mint condition.

EXCELLENT – Normal signs of wear but minimal marks, blemishes or repairs

GOOD – Signs of wear and either completed or outstanding repairs needed to the item

FAIR – Items with noticeable flaws but are suitable to love and wear or just ‘collect’. These items could be for inspiration or display.

As vintage clothing is sized differently to todays sizing, we measure certain aspects of the garments and then give an estimation based on a universal chart.

We measure the bust (armpit to armpit), waist and usually the length of the garment. For men’s clothing we measure the chest, neck, arm length and inside leg.

To ensure the clothing will fit you we measure in inches and centimetres. The bust measurement, which we call armpit to armpit, is the widest part of your chest, the waist is just above your tummy button. If you have any further sizing questions about any garment please contact us.
